For 40 Years I’ve Made Every Handbag by Hand — Now I’m Saying Goodbye with 80% Off

My Journey: From My First Bag at 21 to My Last Farewell
My name is Catherine Blythe, and for over forty years, handmade leather handbags have been my life’s work. I have been designing and crafting them since the age of twenty-one, each one made with care, patience, and pride.

Now, the time has come to lay down my tools and begin a new chapter — one filled with family, quiet afternoons, and peaceful walks through the countryside.
Before I close my workshop for good, I’d like to share my story… and my final creations… with you.

A Childhood Steeped in Craft
I was born in 1960 in Bath, England — a city whose Georgian streets and timeless charm have long been home to artisans and independent makers. My parents ran a small leather workshop tucked away along a cobbled side street.
Although my parents gently encouraged me towards a more conventional path, I was drawn irresistibly to the craft. Each afternoon after school, I would slip into the workshop to watch as raw leather was transformed into something both beautiful and useful.

The First Bag — and the Spark That Endured
At twenty-one, under my father’s watchful eye, I created my very first handbag: a simple tan leather tote with hand-stitched seams and solid brass fittings.
The very next day, a customer purchased it. It wasn’t simply a sale — it was the realisation that I could create something with my own hands that would become a cherished part of someone’s daily life.
Building a Legacy — and Weathering the Storms

By the time I turned thirty, my parents had retired, and I took over the workshop. I expanded our collection, brought in a small team of skilled makers, and refreshed our shop while preserving the traditions that made it special.
Then, in 1998, disaster struck. A burst pipe flooded the workshop, destroying much of our stock and tools. For a moment, it felt as though the dream had ended. But with a handful of salvaged tools, a small rented studio, and the unwavering loyalty of my customers, I began again.

Love, Family, and a Digital Leap
Not long after, I met my husband, Edward, who became my steadfast supporter. Together, we rebuilt the business, and in later years our daughter joined us, guiding our leap into the digital age. Thanks to her, our handbags began to find homes not only across Britain, but far beyond.

The Final Chapter — and My Last Sale
After decades at the workbench, I have decided to pass the torch. Once these final handbags are gone, my workshop doors will close forever.
To mark this farewell, I am offering my last handmade leather collection with special savings of up to 80%.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind, made with the same devotion to craft that has guided me from the very beginning.

My Final Farewell — Up to 80% Off
This is more than a sale.
It is my thank you, my goodbye, and a final opportunity to carry a piece of my story with you.
With deepest gratitude,
Catherine Blythe
